16" (40 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, costume is included. Condition: generally excellent, paint wear on limb joints. Marks: 8 (doll) Naudaud 34 rue de 4 Septembre, Paris (body label at torso). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, the bebe was sold by the Paris doll shop of Nadaud. Value Points: pretty brown-eyed bebe with good early body, nice bisque, boutique label.
