8" (20 cm). Bisque socket head with faces on
alternate sides of head, one depicting a happy
child with blue glass inset eyes, painted
features, closed mouth with defined teeth; the
other depicting a crying child with tiny brown
glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows,
closed mouth modeled as though wide open and
crying; blonde mohair wig, French composition
five piece body, purple velvet Sunday best suit.
Condition: bisque excellent, body not original.
Comments: the rare double-face bebe head is by
Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1885. Value Points:
appealing bebe with rare expressive character
features is virtually unknown in this small size.
