Description
28" (71 cm). Pale bisque shoulderhead with rounded facial modeling, rich cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, outlined lips, unpierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset jointed body with stitched and separated fingers and toes, antique silk gown, undegarments, brown velvet jacket and bonnet, gloves, leather boots. Condition: generally excellent, a few body patches. Comments: Barrois, circa 1860. Value Points: rare large size and entrancing expression, the rich eyes contrasting the pale complexion with subtlely blushed cheeks.
