Description
5" (13 cm). One piece bisque head and torso
depicting young girl with laughing expression,
elongated neck, tiny brown glass sleep eyes,
painted lashes, single stroke brows, closed
mouth, accented lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig,
loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, right arm with
modeled bent elbow and pointing finger, painted
white stockings, black one-strap shoes, nicely
costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
J.I.O. c.1919. Comments: designed by American
artist Jeanne Orsini, produced in Germany, circa
1920. Value Points: very rare all bisque with
wonderful expression, perfectly preserved.
