Description
11" (28 cm). One piece all bisque head, torso and
legs modeled together, loop-jointed bisque arms
with starfish-shaped hands, blue glass sleep and
side-glancing googly eyes, painted lashes, short
feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye
corners, closed mouth with smiling expression,
modeled space between the accented lips, brunette
mohair wig, silk and lace costume. Condition:
generally excellent, tiny flake on right upper
arm. Marks: 222 28 (head) 28 (inside each limb).
Comments: Hertel and Schwab, the model was
marketed as "Our Fairy" for Louis Wolf, circa
1912. Value Points: wonderful large size of the
all-bisque googly with choicest bisque and
sculpting.
