Description
20" (51 cm). Bisque shoulderhead lady with
uptilted head, elongated throat, blue glass inset
eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, heavily
modelled eyelids, single stroke brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with
center accent line, blonde mohair wig, slender
shapely kid body with pin-jointing, bisque
forearms. Condition: faint hairline on back neck.
Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, their 172 model of
Charles Dana Gibson's society lady, designed by
that artist. Value Points: lovely quality of
bisque and original body enhanced by elegant
Edwardian style black lace and beaded costume.
