Description
25"h. x 19"w (63 x 48 cm). The wooden framed Mansard style house has removable attic lid, removable attic that reveals painted medallion on ceiling of second floor, two floors, the bottom floor with two rooms and hinged doorway between, two gable attic windows, eight windows at front of house, front opening door with faux-door knocker, painted stonework on the exterior. The interior has original paper parquet flooring, walls and trim, and original lace curtains. The house is signed "CH (intertwined) Schutzmarke" on the base, and has the original store label "Au Paradis des Enfants" of Paris (see photograph). Some paint wear at bottom front of exterior, otherwise excellent inside and out. Circa 1890.
