Description
12" (30 cm). One piece bisque head, torso and
legs, modelled topknot,side curls and forelock,
modeled blue wings, painted large side-glancing
eyes with white eyedots, dash brows, closed mouth
with impish smile, loop-jointed bisque arms with
spread fingers. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: Kewpie Germany (red heart label on chest)
O'Neill (incised on feet). Comments: Kewpie,
designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1912, produced in
Germany. Value Points: wonderful large size of
the all bisque figure, wearing silk and lace hand-
made wedding gown and train.
