Description
12" (30 cm). Bisque socket head portraying a
slender-faced older boy, painted pale blue
outlined eyes, black upper eyeliner, single
stroke brows, well-defined slender nose, closed
mouth with full pouty-shaped lips, accent line
between the lips, blonde mohair wig, composition
and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition:
generally excellent, few surface craze lines on
legs. Marks: K*R 107 30. Comments: "Karl" from
the Kammer and Reinhardt art character series,
circa 1910, the doll was sculpted for that firm
by the Berlin artist Lewin-Funcke. Value Points:
very rare model with superbly modeled features of
solemn-faced older boy, choice bisque, original
body and body finish, antique Tyrolean costume
may be original.
