Description
13" (33 cm). Amber tinted bisque socket head of
young round-faced Chinese baby, brown glass sleep
eyes in half-moon shape, painted black curly
lashes, black feathered brows, accented nostrils,
open mouth, shaded and accented lips, two
porcelain upper teeth, tongue, black mohair wig,
amber tinted composition bent limb baby body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J made in
Germany 10 JDK 243. Comments: Kestner, circa
1912. Value Points: outstanding example of the
rare little portrait child, with original wig,
body, body finish, elaborate silk embroidered
costume.
