23" doll seated (58 cm). 30" doll and stool (76
cm). All felt doll with pressed and painted
facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, side
painted lashes, grey eyeshadow, fringed brows,
accented nostrils, blushed cheeks, brunette
mohair bobbed wig with side-part, shapely torso,
elongated limbs with bent elbows, crossed knees,
feet positioned for high heels. Condition: very
good, few moth holes on dress. Marks: Lenci
(box). Comments: Lenci, from the early film star
series by that firm, the model portrays Marlene
Dietrich, circa 1930. Value Points: very rare
doll, wearing original green multi-tiered flapper
dress with back buttons, pearls, organdy ruffled
underskirt, heels, pearls and earrings, and with
cigarette; the doll is arranged seated on
original wooden stool and is stored in her
original Lenci box labelled 556 corresponding to
her inventory number in original Lenci catalog.
