Description
21" (53 cm). Wooden shoulderhead with oval-shaped
head (known as "bedpost"), sculpted nose,
simplistically painted facial features, attached
in swivel fashion to brown muslin torso and upper
limbs, wooden lower limbs, chip-carved fingers
and toes, remnants of original wig. Condition:
generally excellent, chip on nose tip. Comments:
maker unknown of the commercially produced doll,
similiar dolls were produced in East Germany,
circa 1950. Value Points: rare wooden doll in the
folk art style.
