Description
A six-sided box with fancily shaped base, and
lift-off lid is decorated with geometrically
designed papers. When the lid and exterior
frame is removed, the sides are allowed to
drop open to form a table-shaped
arrangement, with service for four in white
porcelain de Paris, decorated with green and
gold banding, and floral arrangements. The
service includes table cloth and ribbon-tied
napkins, two lidded tureens, serving bowl,
serving platter, round platter, gravy boat,
footed
tureen, four goblets, wine carafe, water
carage, cutlery, and menu or place cards. In
excellent unplayed with condition, of unique
and luxury quality design. Circa 1880.
