Pressed bisque socket head with very full cheeks and lower face, well defined nose tip, small brown glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecuts, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, widely feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, jointed body with straight wrists, flat-cut derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1 Sch (Shield, on head) Sch (shield on derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1884, the bebe has features of both round-faced and pear-faced models by that firm. Value Points: very beautiful bebe with lovely sculpting and bisque, original signed body, antique blue velvet dress, undergarments, leather boots.
