Description
12" (30 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass
enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the
eyecut, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-
feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded
nostrils, closed mouth with heart-shaped upper
lip, accented and shaded lips, pierced ears,
brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French
hollowed-wooden body with articulation at
shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 1. Comments:
Bru, circa 1887, from the Chevrot era, the petite
bebe has the hollowed wood body introduced by
Chevrot in that year. Value Points: rare size 1
bebe with captivating expression and bisque, its
original wooden-hollowed body was made for a few
years only, original silk costume, undergarments,
knit stockings, black leather shoes.
