17" (43 cm). Pressed bisque socket head, grey glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, brushstroked and feathered brows, mauve blushed eyeshadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C (or 6). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1877, one of the earliest bebes by Jumeau with gorgeous eyes and expression, original early body, beauitful antique rose silk and lace costume, leather shoes, undergarments, cap.
