Description
34" (86 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, mohair lashes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecuts, prominent brown eyeshadow, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair, French composition and wooden fully jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Unis France 71 149 306 Jumeau 1938 Paris (and upside down "15"). Comments: SFBJ/Unis France, the model was created as a commemorative for the 1938 Paris visit of the young English princesses Elizabeth and Margaret; a few exhibition models in this 34" size were created for display and to promote the market for the smaller production model. Value Points: rare and distinctive model with fascinating historical background, this larger size is virtually impossible to find.
