Description
9" (23 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque torso, grey glass sleep eyes, painted
lashes, incised eyeliner, feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed
mouth with accented lips, auburn mohair wig,
shapely bisque torso with defined
musculature, peg-jointed bisque arms and
legs with very sturdy modeling, painted white
stockings, yellow boots with black lacing,
spats and heels, antique ivory silk gown.
Condition: generally excellent, tiny flakes at
peg holes of legs. Marks: 4. Comments:
Kestner, circa 1885, the model is referred to
as "French wrestler" in reference to its body
shape. Value Points: large all bisque with
excellent detail of body modeling, appealing
very chubby face.
