21" (53 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with rich brown complexion, black painted hair and brows, painted curly lashes, small brown glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with very full lips, composition bent limb baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach Koppelsdorf 399 6 DRGM Germany. Comments: Heubach Koppelsdorf, circa 1920, model was marketed as "Island Baby" and costumed in grass skirt and colorful beads. Value Points: compelling expression enhanced by rich gleaming complexion, rare larger size of this model.
