Description
16" (40 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head,
painted blonde baby hair with forelock curl, blue
glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the
eyecut, painted lashes, short feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth,
shaded and outlined lips, two porcelain upper
teeth, composition bent limb baby body, antique
costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
Hilda c. JDK Jr. 1914 Ges Gesch N. 1076 Made in
Germany 12. Comments: Kestner, circa 1915. Value
Points: lovely example of the gentle-faced doll,
choice bisque and painting, original body and
body finish.
