16" (40 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head with brushstroked boyish hair, strongly sculpted features of young boy with mischievous smile, green/grey painted eyes with black pupils, black and incised eyeliner, arched lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth posed with impish crooked smile with modeled space between the lips, two upper beaded teeth, modeled double chin, composition and wooden fully jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 110. Comments: mystery maker, possibly Carl Debes, circa 1910. Value Points: rare model with superb modeling and bisque, original body with wonderful detail of toddler chubbiness.
