15" (38 cm). Bisque socket head with rounded facial modeling, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, incised eyeliner, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined pale lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, early composition and wooden four-loose-ball-jointed body, straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: fine quality on the early child with appealing expression, original body and body finish, antique dress, undergarments, leather shoes, bonnet.
