Description
18" (46 cm.) Cloth socket head with firmly-pressed and oil-painted facial features, painted brown hair waved across the forehead with stippled detail, small brown painted downcast eyes, black upper eyeliner, tiny-stroke brows, closed mouth with accent line between the downcast lips, all-cloth body with ball-jointed shoulders, separate thumbs, jointing at hips, ball-jointed knees, antique costume. Condition: original finish with some rubs on face, body has spotting, right lower leg and left arm might be early restorations. Comments: Kathe Kruse, the first model, presented for one year only in 1910, in conjunction with Kammer and Reinhardt. Value Points: very rare doll with unique body construction.
