Description
17" (45 cm). Felt swivel head with pressed and
painted facial features, brown side-glancing
eyes, painted lashes, grey eyeshadow, feathered
brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, coral-
painted lower lip with accent dots, brunette
mohair wig, all felt body jointed at shoulders
and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
Lenci, Made in Italy (original paper label with
pencil notation 100/33). Comments: Lenci, circa
1928, the doll continued to appear in Lenci
catalogs, later labeled model 300/45. Value
Points: superb detail of Scottish costume
includes felt applique argyle socks, fur-trimmed
purse, pipe.
