Description
13" (33 cm). Pale bisque shoulderhead with rounded childlike modeling, pale blonde sculpted hair with black headband tucked behind the modeled pierced ears, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the pale lips, muslin stitch-jointed body with bisque forearms, antique gown, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 4 H (front of shoulderplate). Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1875. Value Points: rare early model with exquisite detail of modeling and expression, original body.
