Description
14" (36 cm). Bisque socket head with slender
facial modeling, brown glass sleep eyes, painted
lashes, incised eyeliner, feathered brows,
aquiline nose, closed mouth with pale accented
lips, brunette side-parted bobbed wig,
composition flapper-style body jointed at
shoulders and hips. slender torso and elongated
limbs, painted white stockings with black heeled
shoes, nicely costumed. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 214 2 B&D Ltd. Germany.
Comments: Bawo and Dotter, circa 1917. Value
Points: very rare character model portraying
young flapper era lady has most appealing
expression, very fine bisque and painting,
original body and body finish.
