Description
15" (38 cm). Each has composition head portraying duck with yellow painted complexion, over-sized beak, large eyes, elongated neck, attached to firmly-stuffed muslin body with jointed limbs, yellow composition hands. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: the amusing duck men are based upon the illustrations of French illustrator Benjamin Rabier (1864-1939) who specialized in amusing caricatures of animals, circa 1925. Value Points: wonderfully depicted comic dolls wear original cloth costumes, wooden shoes, carry yellow baskets with celluloid fish.
