14" (35 cm). Solid domed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, grey glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid gusset jointed body with bisque forearms, antique dress, undergarments, leather shoes, silk bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S.H.5 905 (head) S&H (front shoulderplate) 921 (back shoulderplate). Comments: Simon & Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: rare early model with well detailed characterization, original body, lovely bisque.
