13" (33 cm.) All cloth doll with stiffened oil
painted face and hair, short brown hair with
shaded details, deeply impressed facial
features with painted small grey eyes, thick
black and brown upper eyeliner, accented
nostrils, closed mouth in smiling expression,
padded armature frame with pink stockinette,
rounded feet, mitten hands, red stockinette
costume. Condition: good, original finish
scrubbed, body dusty. Comments: Kathe
Kruse, circa 1922, the laughing model known
as "Schlenkerchen". Value Points: among the
rarest of the Kruse childfree, the little doll
has
superior modeling and expression.
