Description
14" (35 cm). Paper-mache shoulderhead of
adult woman with cameo-shaped face and
elongated throat, black sculpted hair in
centerpart with long looped curls waved
behind the ears into finger curls that cascade
onto the shoulders, painted dark teal blue
eyes, upper eyeliner, single stroke brows,
accented nostrils, closed mouth, blushed
cheeks, kid body with stitch-jointed limbs,
slender shapely torso, silk pinned-on
costume appears original. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: Germany,
circa 1850. Value Points: rare coiffure and
expressive features with perfectly preserved
original finish.
