Description
19" (48 cm). Firmly stuffed black felt doll has
swivel head, painted brown side-glancing eyes
with white eyedots, applique felt lips, black
fleecy hair, body jointed at hips and shoulders,
bare feet, wearing original red felt dress with
white felt sleeves, organdy ruffled apron.
Condition: doll excellent, sleeves and apron
dusty. Comments: Lenci, from their 500 series of
black character dolls appearing in the 1928 Lenci
catalog. Value Points: rare model with extra
detail of body stitch-sculpting, rich color of
doll is well preserved.
