Description
6 1/2" (16 cm). Nine different animals are made
of paper mache, mounted on self-base, with
painted costumes and features, included are
elephant, pig with red jacket and top hat, white
cat with orange hat, brown cat with orange hat,
spotted dog, white bear, and terrier dog with
black cap. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: probably SFBJ who advertising a set of
animal "jeux de quilles" made of "pate de bois"
(wood paste) in their 1912 catalog. Value Points:
rare to find complete set with imaginative and
perfectly preserved original finish.
