Description
26" (66 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass
paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyecut, rose blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked
and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils,
open mouth, shaded and outlined lips, row of
porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig
over cork pate, French composition body jointed
at shoulders and hips. CONDITION: Generally
excellent, original body finish has typical
flaking on left arm and hand. MARKS: 1907 11.
COMMENTS: SFBJ, circa 1910, the 1907 model was
based on the original tete model by Jumeau. VALUE
POINTS: The bebe is preserved, unplayed-with, in
her original box, her beautiful eyes enhanced by
the elaborate original red cotton and crepe
costume with lace and ribbon trim, wire framed
bonnet, shoes and socks
