Pressed bisque swivel head on kid- edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes with pronounced spiral threading, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, original deposed kid bebe body with gusset jointing at hips and knees, plump torso, curved upper arms, bisque arms from below the elbow, beautifully shaped hands with curled fingers, defined nails and knuckles, antique costume including leather shoes with scrolled signature (illegible). CONDITION: Generally excellent, minor body patching. MARKS: 3/0 (head) 3/0 (left shoulder). COMMENTS: Leon Casimir Bru, the model known as Bebe Brevete, circa 1878. VALUE POINTS: Rare tiny model has fabulous bisque with delicate blush on eyelids, cheeks and chin, brilliant eyes, original body with perfect bisque hands, owns a little trunk with some additional costumes.
