Description
28" (71 cm). Bisque socket head with very
pronounced modelling, large blue glass
paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyesockets, lushly painted lashes, mauve
blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and multi-
feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth
with shaded and outlined lips, upturned lip
corners, pierced ears, brunette human hair over
cork pate, French composition and wooden fully
jointed body, well costumed. CONDITION: Generally
excellent, retouch on hands. MARKS: Paris Bebe
Tete Depose 12 (red stamp on head) (Eiffel Tower
symbol on body). COMMENTS: Emile Jumeau, the
model was especially created as Paris Bebe after
winning trademark name from Danel in 1891
lawsuit; the model is nearly identical to the
rare character series model #223 by Jumeau. VALUE
POINTS: Outstanding quality of modelling with
highly defined features, finest creamy bisque,
original signed body.
