Description
16" (40 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass
enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark
eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted dark
lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth
with pale accented lips, pierced ears, French
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed
body with straight wrists. CONDITION: Bisque
excellent, body finish worn with some retouch.
MARKS: F. 7 G. (block letters). COMMENTS:
Gaultier, circa 1884. VALUE POINTS: Beautiful
plump-faced bebe has choice bisque, original
body, wears superb costume of green woolen dress
under white flannel cape with matching hood and
muff each having faux-ermine trim.
