18" (46 cm). Bisque socket head, dark blue glass
sleep eyes that operate from lever at back of
head, painted lashes with "dot" highlights, mauve
blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and fringed
brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils,
closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears,
blonde mohair wig over original Steiner pate,
French composition fully jointed body, antique
costume. CONDITION: Generally excellent, hands
repainted. MARKS: Figure C No.2 J. Steiner Bte
SGDG (head) Le Petit Parisien Bebe Steiner (body
stamp) (eyes also signed Steiner). COMMENTS:
Jules Steiner, circa 1885. VALUE POINTS: Very
beautiful model with superb painting of lips and
eyes, wonderfully modelled ears with blushing
detail, original signed head, body and eyes.
