Description
16" (40 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass
sleep eyes that open and close from metal lever
at back of head, painted lashes, blushed
eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth,
outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig
over Steiner pate, French composition and wooden
fully jointed body. CONDITION: Generally
excellent. MARKS: Ste C. 1 (incised) J Steiner J.
Bourgoin (red ink) J. Steiner (incised on back of
eyes). COMMENTS: Steiner, circa 1885. VALUE
POINTS: Beautiful petite Steiner bebe has
original signed lever eyes in unusual brown
color, original Steiner body with original
finish, choice bisque and painting, wonderful
antique winter costume of white mohair with
matching collar, muff and cap, with dress,
undergarments, antique leather shoes.
