Description
14" (35 cm). Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead
with black painted pate ending in tendrils of
curls around the forehead, tiny black painted
enamel inset eyes, painted lashes and brows,
accented nostrils, open mouth, two teeth, nicely
blushed cheeks, pink kid fashion body with
shapely waist and derriere, padded bosom, shaped
one piece arms and legs, separated fingers.
CONDITION: Generally excellent. COMMENTS: French,
circa 1850. VALUE POINTS: Pristine condition of
the early doll with fine lustrous complexion,
fresh sturdy body with early ink inscription on
bottom of foot "ing-4/0".
