Description
12" (30 cm.) The all-wooden simply-carved horse with carved mane, and painted details of dappled hide, blanket, harness, and facial features, has loosely-hinged head which is wire attached to the wooden wheels of the base. When the horse is pulled along, his head nods up and down. Finish is all original, but very faded and with some paint lifting. Germany, circa 1860, rare early toy. Ex-collection Richard Wright.
