Description
22" (56 cm). Bisque socket head, deep blue glass
paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyecut, lushly painted lashes, rose blushed
eyeshadow, fringed brows with feathering detail,
accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed
mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin, pierced
ears, blonde mohair ringlet curled wig, French
composition and wooden fully jointed body.
CONDITION: Generally excellent except large chip
at back of right ear, body may not be original.
COMMENTS: French, circa 1888, mystery maker.
VALUE POINTS: Very rare model with distinctive
facial modelling, outstanding beauty and
painting, antique mariner costume.
