Description
Each 18" (46 cm). Each is of hand carved wooden
with detailed sculpting of facial features, ears
and hair, lightly tinted features to enhance the
sculpting, unusual dowel-jointed necks allowing
the heads to move up and down but not side to
side, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips
and knees, carved fingers. CONDITION: Generally
excellent. COMMENTS: Early 20th century, unknown
carver. VALUE POINTS: Superb larger size of the
highly characterized couple, the woman having
elaborate coiffure and carrying a small carved
baby torso with jointed arms in back-pack, each
wearing original leather coat with fur trim, high
boots, bone trim.
