Description
17" (43 cm). Paper mache shoulderhead turned
slightly to the right, brown glass sleep eyes,
painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with
center accent line, blonde mohair wig, original
muslin stitch-jointed body with composition arms
to above the elbows, composition lower legs.
CONDITION: Generally excellent. MARKS:
Fabrickmark Deponiert (and illustration of angel
on back shoulderplate). COMMENTS: Schilling,
circa 1880. VALUE POINTS: Rare signed early paper
mache doll is factory-original, wearing burgundy
velvet dress with lace and silk trim, sash,
matching bonnet, undergarments, shoes and socks.
