Description
16" (40 cm). Pressed bisque socket head with
spiral spring attachment, brown glass enamel
inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner
encircles the eyecut, painted lashes, thickly
brushstroked brows with feathering details, rose
blushed eyeshadow, accented eye corners and
shaded nostrils, closed mouth with modelled space
between the accented lips, pierced ears, fleeced
lambswool wig over cork pate, original
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed
body with straight wrists. CONDITION: Generally
excellent. MARKS: Depose E. 7 J. (and artist's
checkmarks on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris
(body). COMMENTS: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885. VALUE
POINTS: Very beautiful model in exceptional
unplayed with condition, original superb wig,
muslin chemise, jewelry, antique (not factory
original) red woolen stockings and leather shoes.
