Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head, very plump face, rich blue painted eyes, pronounced dark eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1860, attributed to Barrois. Value Points: lovely painting of eyes, antique woolen costume with unusual construction details, undergarments, leather shoes, leather satchel. Private Collection Kathryn DeFillipo.
