Description
4" dolls. Each doll has bisque swivel head,
bisque torso and peg-jointed limbs with painted
black stockings and brown one-strap shoes. The
dolls have brown glass sleep eyes, painted
lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils,
open mouth, blonde mohair wigs, and each is
costumed in matching silk-knit folklore style
costume in vivid colors and rich detail.
CONDITION: generally excellent. COMMENTS: Simon
and Halbig, circa 1890. VALUE POINTS: perfectly
preserved dolls with wonderful original costumes
are presented in box with rich decorative papers
and engraving depicting young boy and girl in
folklore costumes.
