12" (30 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head,
blonde brushstroked baby hair with forelock curl,
blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short
feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye
corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips,
two porcelain upper teeth, composition bent limb
baby body, rose cotton baby dress. CONDITION:
Generally excellent, left thumb broken. MARKS:
JDK made in Germany. COMMENTS:: Kestner, circa
1915, the model was known as "Baby Jean". VALUE
POINTS: Fine quality of bisque, excellent
definition of baby dimples, original body and
body finish.
