21" (53 cm). Bisque socket head, grey glass sleep
eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted
curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short feathered
brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open
mouth, shaded and accented lips, modelled
illusion of tongue, two porcelain upper teeth,
impressed dimples at lip corners and chin, blonde
mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and
wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip
jointing, antique costume comprising pont
d'esprit lace dress, undergarments, white wool
cape, velvet bonnet, undergarments, leather
shoes. CONDITION: Generally excellent. MARKS: M
made in Germany 16 JDK 237 ges gesch 1070 (head)
made in Germany (body). COMMENTS: "Hilda" by
Kestner, circa 1914. VALUE POINTS: Exceptional
quality of sculpting and bisque gives full
expression to the gentle-faced toddler with
original body and body finish, original wig and
pate.
