Description
7" H (18 cm). Chairs. The ensemble, comprising 6
pieces, has ebony-painted wooden carved legs and
is completely upholstered in original rose sateen
with rich tufting (capitonne) in sateen covered
buttons. There is fringed braid trimming the
edges. The set comprises settee, two arm chairs,
two side chairs. Structurally
excellent, upholstery is original albeit faded
and somewhat thread-worn. French, circa 1870.
