Description
18" (46 cm). Pale bisque shoulderhead with
rounded facial modelling, cobalt blue glass
enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the
eyecut, painted lashes and brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line,
unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate,
French kid fashion body with gusset-jointing at
knees and hips, bisque arms from above the
elbows. CONDITION: Generally excellent. MARKS: E.
F Depose B. COMMENTS: Barrois, circa 1865. VALUE
POINTS: Beautiful clarity of bisque enhanced by
blushed cheeks, plump facial modelling and rich
cobalt eyes; the doll wears very fine antique
ivory satin gown (fabric worn on jacket front),
undergarments, shoes, wax orange blossom crown.
